Composer Jorge Zertuche
Bio
Born in Monterrey Mexico. At the age of 6 he began his musical education, studying piano and music theory. He later continued his studies at the "Escuela Superior de Musica y Danza de Monterrey".
Multi-instrumentalist plays piano, bass, guitar, percussion, accordion among several other instruments. He began composing music at the age of 15, was repeatedly winner of song festivals even nationally, both as a composer, lyricist and performer.
After receiving his Mechatronics Engineering College Degree at the "Tecnológico de Monterrey", he graduated with honors in "Master Orchestration for Film & TV" at Berklee College of Music.
He has worked as a composer, producer and arranger with great artists, then focused on scoring for films and TV. He is the composer of several short films as well as television series "Estudio en la calle St. Jude". His latest projects is the feature films "El Objeto" ,"Tequila"and "Guadalajara"(2018).
He has been Musical Director for various projects as, “Tecnológico de Monterrey” and “Tec Milenio” for more than 10 years. Also is the current Keyboardist and M.D. for the band Mty Social Crew.
He has been nominated as Best Music in Film in the latest "Madrid International Film Festival 2015" for the film "Betuchini"
As an Engineer he is very technological in all of the aspects, with computers, vst´s, programs, instruments and equipment.
